Tomori refused two better offers for Milan
AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori had better offers in January but the English centre back wanted only the Rossoneri.
Fikayo Tomori has made an immediate impact at San Siro. The English defender arrived on loan from Chelsea and he has shown promising performances with the Red and Blacks so far. Tomori is destined to reach the top according to Frank Lampard and he may now have the great chance to prove himself at a first-tier club.
If his performances will remain constant until the end of the season, the Rossoneri have the option to make Tomori’s transfer permanent. AC Milan can purchase Fikayo for a figure of 28 million euros.
The transfer fee could be reduced a bit if negotiations with Chelsea are successful. Milan plan to keep him and Tomori strongly wanted to join the Rossoneri. In fact, the 23-year-old centre back refused two important offers considering only a move to Milan.
The Athletic reports that Fikayo Tomori received offers from West Ham and Rennes during the winter transfer window. The two clubs proposed better economic conditions, a permanent transfer and the chance to be a regular starter.
Nevertheless, Tomori refused both offers. The talented defender believes he he has what it takes to make his breakthrough at a top club. With Kjaer’s contract expiring in 2022, AC Milan are looking for a long-term heir. Hopefully that player will be Fikayo Tomori.
